Nirvanix Watch
Keeping any eye on the scammers at Nirvanix, Diomede, Streamload, Linkup, Mediamax, or whatever they call themselves this week….
Wow!
Autor tombassett
This site has been down for a while, and a lot has happened!
Mediamax/Streamload/The Linkup is going out of business and filing bankruptcy.
Two former employees of Mediamax/Linkup/Streamload say that it was actually NIRVANIX who deleted all the customer files, and that Nirvanix may actually still have them.
Nirvanix denies responsibility. I’m gonna add a lot of data to this time permitting.

Digg!
Tom, did you actually ever have a Nirvanix account?
I was a client of Streamload/Mediamax/TheLinkup. I was hurt when Nirvanix dropped the ball and deleted millions of SL/MM/TLU files.
I don’t accept Nirvanix’s denial of responsibility for 2 reasons:
a) MM/SL/TLU places the blame squarely on Nirvanix
b) Nirvanix IS a direct descendent OF MM/SL/TLU, same employees, computer systems, management, etc.
If we started accepting that, then any company who got in trouble after making a terrible error could just make a new company, move all the employees over to it, and say “Sorry, that wasn’t us.”
So if this error was a product of streamload/MediaMax and not Nirvanix, would this put your fears to rest?
BTW, what was the date when your files were lost?
Tom,
This article can clear things up a bit, http://www.blocksandfiles.co.uk/article/6176
Hi tom.
first of all: thanks for all your interesting informations about the whole story. I was also customer of the MM/SL/TLU thing with all the same problems of lost files, lousy mails, mischarched cards etc. I’ve one further question: In some posts at techcrunch there is a speak of an “office video” … but all links failed here from europe. Do you have an “open link” at youtube or some other video provider, which can’t be deleted as quick as the other ones? That would be great - thank you!
Possibly it might lessen them, but then to remember that Nirvanix is in fact run by and a spin-off of Streamload/TheLinkup/Mediamax brings all those fears back - as it should for anyone. Also I’m not sure the exact date - I’d have to look it up in my diary.
I don’t have one, sorry - but I believe it is the episode of the TV show “The Office” where Ryan turns Dunder Mifflin’s website into a 2.0 “Social Network” based around paper (it’s a paper company) and instead of increasing sales, it attracts pedophiles and predators.
The real answers here: http://developer.nirvanix.com/blogs/nirvanix/default.aspx
Am I missing something, or have Patrick Harr and his associates at Nirvanix left themselves wide open to a barrage of lawsuits from justly angry Mediamax customers? Do they really think they can get away with what they have done?
Darren - Nirvanix has failed to answer any of the key questions about their behavior. Patrick Harr and his associates either need to restore all files, provide complete refunds, or face a barrage of lawsuits from angry Mediamax customers on the warpath.
Sean,
Please read through this again: I think everyone should read this: http://developer.nirvanix.com/blogs/nirvanix/default.aspx
Darren is there any reason why you can’t post comments on the Nirvanix Blog you are so desperate to get us to read?
I think I know why we can’t post comments, the same reason why they stopped us posting comments on the Mediamax and The Linkup blogs.
You keep spreading the word mate, I don’t know how much they are paying you, if anything.
The whole saga is going to come and when it does someone is going to be in very big trouble.
If Nirvanix is not connected to Mediamax or The Linkup, what about the alleged (snigger) deletion of Mediamax customers data by Nirvanix engineers, which begs the question if of course it’s true (more sniggering) begs the question what were Nirvanix doing with Mediamax customers data?
Doesn’t feel so good when the boots on the other foot does it, now you know how the customers who paid good money for nothing feel!
Stay tuned kids for the next exciting episode!
Dave.
